Decorating one room.
We asked Graham to paint and decorate our front room, which needed a fair bit of making good, including where the old fire surround had been and some untidy bits of skirting board. When we were gathering quotes, we were unsure how much needed doing - did all the lining paper need replacing for example. Graham told us how much he would need to do to get a good finish, other decorators tended to say "it's up to you". Graham was punctual, polite and I had no problem at all trusting him in my home. We are extremely pleased with the work, it looks brilliant, and would not hesitate to ask him to do more work for us.
Painting two bedroom flat, including walls, ceilings and woodwork.
We decided to use Checkatrade to find a painter to paint the walls, ceiling and woodwork in our two bedroom flat. We decided to go with Graham based on both the excellent feedback on the Checkatrade website and also because he was very helpful in giving us advice on what paint etc to use when he came out to provide a quote for the work. Graham (and his colleague Peter) took just five days to do all the work and went the extra mile in terms of moving furniture, taking down and putting back up pictures, curtain poles etc. He was also really careful not to make a mess and unlike some painters I have had in the past. He was able to get the job done without getting any paint on furniture and carpets! We were really happy with the work done in our flat. The painting was of a high standard and I would use Graham again in the future for sure. Lastly I would say the biggest recommendation I could give about Graham is that he is clearly a very trustworthy guy and is the sort of tradesman you are happy to give a key to and leave in your house to get on with the work.
