Bright Child Childcare operates in two three bedroom houses with large gardens in Durnsford Road, conveniently located only minutes away from both Bounds Green and Bowes Park stations.

As a team of three Ofsted registered childminders and assistants, we work together to provide day care for children aged from birth to five years old and offer pickups from St Martin of Porres and Bounds Green schools.

Our ethos is based around passion, enthusiasm and a never ending commitment to the children. Parents can always be assured that their child is happy, because their interests are nurtured and their individuality respected.

We are all either NVQ Level 3 qualified or are working towards obtaining the qualification. All of us are Paediatric First Aid trained and the childminders have undergone training in Food Hygiene and Child Protection.

We are licensed by Ofsted to care for up to fifteen children in each house but we have opted to limit our numbers to no more than nine children in each house to maintain higher than required staff to children ratios and to ensure an exceptional level of childcare is provided at all times.

Bright Child has a wealth of resources for children of all ages and abilities for both outdoor and indoor use. We make full use of the attractive and spacious gardens we have in both houses on a daily basis and encourage children to explore and learn about nature as they play.

We operate a mixture of set activities and free play for the children. Activities include role play, mark making, sand/water play, art and crafts, cause and effect, construction, music and sound, sensory play and physical play. Bright Child also has an extensive library of books appropriate for children of different ages.

The resources have been carefully selected to provide exciting, innovative care for children in an environment that presents plentiful opportunities for play, interaction and development, simply because we want them to have the best possible start in life.

As the settings are based in domestic premises rather than in a purpose-built nursery, they offer a homely atmosphere that is designed to make children feel comfortable, safe and happy.
