I was incredibly happy with the service provided by 1st driving school. My instructor was Russell Fisher and I could not fault him at all. He was always punctual, was flexible in terms of pick up and drop off points, and helped to put me at ease whilst driving. Whilst learning to drive initially seemed quite an intimidating task I really enjoyed learning in such a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. I would 100% recommend him to other learner drivers and hope to do my pass plus with him soon!

Barry often made learning to drive a very relaxed, enjoyable and fun experience. From the first lesson you feel like you are making fast progress. Barry builds up you're control of the car step by step so that by the time you have full control of the car you are confident and safe. This process doesn't take long, but gives you a much better understanding of the car and massively improves your control. I would highly recommend Barry to anyone looking to get on the road driving asap.

Julie is an amazing Instructor. I saw other people have passed with 1st Driving School and I thought I could be one of those people, and with Julie's help I achieved that today. She didn't just teach me to drive and teach me how to be at test standard she taught me life long lessons, and made me a better driver then I initially was before I met Julie. She is very to the point and some how managed to help me conquer some fears with multiple lanes and roundabouts, so thank you Julie you are a fantastic driving instructor.

I passed my practical test on 12/05/2015 from the first ever time! with this great school and especially my great instructor Michael Harmer as I can give him a 5 star review. Michael was great in every aspect, first of all, he always came to me on time and often 10mins earlier. Second, his valuable instructions helped me to avoid any serious faults and drive safely and confidently. As I was driving on left hand side for couple of years, driving with right hand side car with totally different traffic system was really a challenge for me but luckily I chose this fantastic driving school which helped me a lot in overcoming these difficulties and finally passed the exam. I've had many lessons with a number of different instructors in the past over the years, from being the age of 19-20, including an intensive driving course in Blackpool... of course I never passed and after three tests had become disillusioned. Then early this year at the age of 33 I decided that I needed to pick it up again. Had a great time right from the first lesson. Not only did Torz pick up on my foot work and positioning which no other instructor had mentioned but I actually started really enjoying driving again. I picked up confidence because she put me at ease and I am sure her other students would say the same. Anyway I'm now a fully fledged driver after passing my test in July and will never look back. Driving lessons are costly and I know that some instructors take advantage of that. However, Torz didn't and she encouraged me to take my test when I was ready. Embrace your lessons and you too can pass in no time! I wouldn't have wanted to go with anyone else.

Over the past few months I've had an amazing time learning to drive from Barry. I felt safe and secure at all times, and through Barry's learning techniques even became confident. He was extremely reliable and punctual, and didn't seem to mind if I rearranged lessons! The range of learning techniques was incredible, from apps on an iPad, to visual demonstrations to letting me practice it 5 times! I would particularly like to mention his exceptional preparation for the practical exam. I went in familiar with many of the test routes, extremely confident with my manoeuvres, and aware of potential trip-ups. Barry let me decide what we did on the last lessons, so I was completely confident in all aspects of my driving going into my test. He even helped calm my nerves which I didn't think was possible! So thank-you Barry!

1st Driving School is a grade one top notch driving school. My driving instructor Greg is a perfect gentleman who knows his job and what he is doing. He observes a learners weakness and helps the learner to overcome it. He is very good at explaining an error/fault situation and what he expects you to do, as well as what the examiners are expecting from you on the day of the driving test. To crown it all, he is very honest with his comments and opinion. All these attributes were seriously lacking when I was with a previous instructor who was just after the money I paid for lessons. I will recommend 1st Driving School any day and anytime!!!

1st Driving School driving school provided me with 2 instructors, originally I had Debbie and went on to finish my lessons with Geoff due to starting my job and being restricted to which hours I could do. Geoff was brilliant; always made an effort to fit in lessons around my work hours and even picked me up from work on many occasions to make it easier for me. Extremely patient and believed in me even when I didn't!! I wouldn't have had the confidence I needed to pass if it wasn't for Geoff. Matt Clarke is a brilliant instructor, I have learnt so much about driving from him because taught me to drive for life not just to pass my test.
